Sunday was the parade
day and the Civic Center plaza was filled with many more people ~ no doubt all eager to meet genuine LGBT Republicans. The
weather was untypically San Franciscan; sunny and warm ~ as were all booth staffers (who are always sunny and warm) and most
booth visitors. Chris
Bowman, San Francisco Log Cabin member emeritus, focused his efforts
on explaining the potential problems for the LGBT community in the proposed redistricting plan

The sweet Log Cabin smiles of Kernan,
Jason and Vernon revealed the true nature of Republicans.

The flow of visitors peaked about 3:30. It seemed
as though the most serious questions and longest discussions came late in the day. No problem. When it comes to fielding
(political questions), the Log Cabin team rivals the Giants.

Our booth was ideally situated at the east
end of the Civic Center grove and among the first seen by parade viewers as they entered the plaza. We were adjacent
to PFLAG & the Gay and Lesbian Task Force who, unaccustomed to being so near Republicans, soon discovered that you couldn't
have better neighbors.

Potential Republican voters come in all plumages, attire and heights.
